A recent client in the hospitality sector required commercial kitchen splashbacks and worktops. They will be welcoming customer’s back into their Café on 28th April.
Post Pandemic Preparations
Businesses across Scotland are now reopening as lockdown restrictions ease. Many businesses in the hospitality and leisure sector that were forced to remain closed are now able to resume business. It goes without saying, the last year has been a real struggle for those businesses that were deemed ‘non-essential’. The post pandemic future will see local businesses working together to make up for lost time.
Café Twenty Eight located at 28 Dunbeth Avenue, Coatbridge are in the process of reopening for indoor seating. Due to the restrictions Café Twenty Eight have not been able to be fully operational but have remained open in some capacity. David Lake, owner and chef, is well established and has extensive experience, making it a popular spot for takeaway food and hot drinks.
Best Metal Fabrication, located in Dundyvan Enterprise Park in Coatbridge, experienced a short period of closure in March/April of 2020. Designing and fabricating hygienic equipment for essential industries, we were able to reopen. We have been operating throughout most of the pandemic, serving clients in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
The Director of the company, Jeff Best, has given an insight into working through a global pandemic:
“Despite a couple of months of uncertainty in 2020 during the initial lockdown, we have been able to remain fully operational. We have even managed to navigate the challenges of acquiring larger premises and moving to a new building. We consider ourselves lucky to have remained open and want to help other business get back up and running.”
Customer Testimonial
In preparation for the easing of restrictions, Café Twenty Eight have made upgrades with the help of Best Metal Fabrication. New stainless-steel wall splashbacks and worktops have been custom made for them. These were made to measure pieces which Best Metal Fabrication fabricated and installed into Café Twenty Eight’s kitchen area.
David Lake, owner and chef at Café Twenty Eight has said:
“It was great to find a local company who were supportive and helpful to work with. They were quick, professional, and pleasant to deal with.
In these challenging times I am fortunate to have been able to trade during this pandemic, but I am looking forward to welcoming customers back inside Café Twenty Eight on the 28th April”
Small businesses are working together and helping one another navigate the economic effects the pandemic has caused. Both Café Twenty Eight and Best Mental Fabrication are local, family run businesses. They have felt the effects of the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. However, both have been lucky enough to survive the lockdown restrictions and closures and look forward to the future with positivity.
